At current’s Nationwide Fried Hen Day, and we’re attempting to settle a debate in our locations of labor: Is it increased to buy fried rooster or make it your self? A couple of of us argue the parts for fried rooster are cheap than a bucket from the native fried-chicken joint. Others say it’s such an issue to make (that hot-oil spatter!) that it is not positively definitely worth the potential monetary financial savings. What do you suppose? πŸ—πŸ—πŸ—

  • Yeah it’s kinda like bagels. They look simple. They take all day to make. Fried chicken is another thing that naturally takes a long time (if you do it right)…brining the chicken…etc. Usually people that make it from scratch have made it for years and have perfected the technique and know how to cut down on the waste and the time.

  • Many factors play in. It would be a bit cheaper to cook at home almost always. However, women work more, grandmas do not live with families as much. Kids and even daughters do more sports and activities. Less home help. Energy, time, peace at home to prevent begging for help or clean up plays in. Bottom line, if you are struggling on a budget, do not buy what causes more expense. If buying helps the household, go for it!

  • I think make it yourself, I find quite a few fast food places put too much salt in their chicken for my taste also the chicken tends to get sweaty if left too long in the food container

  • If you have a place you like buy it. If not make yourself. Big expense frying in a lot of oil. Always use peanut oil and its more costly yet
